All the Minecraft fanboys today are asking the same question in all the forum sites which is how to allocate more RAM on Minecraft. Well I have the answer for you since  through my research I have found some quick and easy ways how to allocate more RAM in this game

To new people, Minecraft is a game that came out in 2019.  This game’s hardware and software requirements are really simple and most of the systems operating with basic requirements will be able to run this game easily.

Furthermore, the game gives you challenges that help you increase your problem-solving skills hence this game is accepted by a wide audience both parents and youngsters.

With the latest version release of Minecraft 2.0, I will tell you how you can allocate more RAM power in this game. Before I begin this digital copy, I would request that you update the latest version of the game first. Once done, let’s begin with the methods.

How to Allocate More RAM to Minecraft – In Detailed

Method 1: Checking your system requirements

  • Open your computer and press the Windows menu available on our keyboard.
  • Once done, search settings and click on that.
  • Then choose the system button.
  • Go to the About section and notice the available RAM on your system.

Method 2: Turing on the JVM switch

  • On your computer click on Minecraft Craft Launcher.
  • You will see the launch options tab before you.
  • Now tap on the advanced settings option and turn it on.
  • Then select the profile that you would like to edit or modify.
  • Now make sure the Jvm arguments switch is turned on.

Method 3: Ram adjustment

  • Once the JVM adjustments are turned on, you will see a line known as -Xmx1G. By default it would say 1,  you will then have the authority to change the number of gigabytes that you want to allocate.
  • Once this step is done click on save. Now Minecraft would allocate the amount of RAM that you have inputted.

Note: it’s recommended that you only allocate 2/3rd of the ram that is present in your computer.

Method 4: Upgrading RAM in the Minecraft server

After knowing the available RAM on your PC.  Perform the following steps

  • Launch Minecraft from your PC.
  • Then go to the search button on your computer and search for a file known as “Minecraft_server”.
  • Now open a new text document and paste the code “ java-xmx####M-exe Minecraft_Server-o true PAUSE”

Notes:

  • Ensure you have enough RAM available: Don’t allocate more RAM than your system can handle, as this can lead to performance issues.
  • Allocating too much RAM can be counterproductive: Minecraft benefits from more RAM, but allocating too much can cause the game to run inefficiently. It’s generally recommended to allocate between 4GB and 8GB for most users.
  • Once you are done saving the code, save the file as “.bat” instead of “.txt”.
  • Now run this file on your PC as your new available memory is already allocated.

Method 5: For the Minecraft Launcher

  1. Open the Minecraft Launcher: Start the launcher as you normally would.
  2. Go to Installations: Click on the “Installations” tab at the top of the launcher.
  3. Select the Version: Find the version of Minecraft you want to allocate more RAM to, then click on the three dots (…) on the right side.
  4. Click on “More Options”: This will expand additional settings.
  5. Adjust the JVM Arguments: In the “JVM Arguments” field, you’ll see something like -Xmx2G. This determines how much RAM is allocated. The number next to -Xmx is the maximum amount of RAM Minecraft can use.
    • For example, to allocate 4GB of RAM, change it to -Xmx4G.
  6. Save and Start the Game: Click “Save” and then launch Minecraft.
